In this fun, hands-on workshop, participants will learn how to create simple animations using paper and pencil, exploring storytelling, movement and creativity. Guided step-by-step, they’ll develop their own short animated sequence, from initial idea to finished scene, and see their work come to life on screen.

At the end of the session, each participant will take home their drawings, and all animations will be compiled and shared as a video. No experience needed, just bring your imagination.

Matchbox Mountain is an Irish animation studio specialising in experimental visuals and stop-motion techniques. Founded by Eimhin McNamara and Pádraig Fagan, they have continued their long-running educational practice bringing animation to students of all ages.
