Crux Vocal Ensemble was founded by Paul McGough to interpret old music for new audiences with a focus on Medieval and Renaissance chant and polyphony. The group varies in size and number, depending on the event; a blend of male and female voices, sometimes instruments too.

Based at the beautiful Saint Mary's Church on Haddington Road Dublin 4, Crux sings an early-music mass twice per month.Crux is also active in the TV/film industry, appearing in several movies and in many seasons of History Channel’s ‘Vikings’.

Crux also performs at festivals and events around Ireland and abroad and is a permanent audio feature at historic centres like King John's Castle (Limerick) and Clondalkin Round Tower.
