DJ Hewan

Hewan aka Ethiogroves is a Dublin resident Ethiopian dj and vinyl collector with special interest in Ethiopian modern and trad music from 60s/70s and all African grooves. Her strictly vinyl selections span from Ethiopian jazz, reggae, afrofunk, afrobeat, highlife and a rare finds of all genres of African dance floor hits. Her monthly radio show Ethiogroves, runs mostly live every four weeks on Dublin Digital radio.

Hewan has performed on big and boutique Irish music festivals like All Together Now, Cairde Arts Festival, Electric Picnic, Cork Jazz festivals You can also find her in different venues in Dublin and across the counties.

She has played and supported artists like the legendary Ethiopian composer and keyboardist Hailu Mergia, Les Amazones and more.
