The Copperplate has gone through a few changes over its many years with Aileen Fitzpatrick of Lisnaskea (Button Accordion) and Ciaran McManus of Glangevlin (Fiddle) joining in 2012 and later being joined by Michelle Gallagher (Piano). The band have played at céilíthe and festivals all across Ireland as well as in Spain and USA. Apart from being a wonderful fiddle player, Ciaran is also an award winning dancer and spends a lot of time touring the world with Irish Celtic so he knows a thing or two about what dancers expect from a band, and has often been known to do a few steps at a Céilí. Michelle also has great experience playing at céilithe through her many years playing with St Joseph’s Céilí Band. Aileen has a great love for Irish music and can be spotted at many a session whether it’s in Fermanagh, Clare or Waterford. The band have great chemistry on stage, and always aim to keep dancers on their feet from the start to the finish of every céilí.
